    TED is the kind of place that I would have hoped to create if it weren't already in existence. it's like a modern-day salon for free-thinkers and folks who feel burdened to do great things with their time on earth.

    I've tried to be a happy Fortune 500 executive but that's not what the Universe wants. Only at age 40 have I been brave enough to liberate myself and go for it on my own and, on occasion, with like-minded folks who share the same passion and ideals.
